Fantastic horror game set inside a Victorian era house with some decidedly non-Victorian features. Wonderful player community, newbie friendly (unless you wander in during the House's night... mwahaha), and almost guaranteed to make you afraid to look in the closet. (Or under the bed, or in the mirror, or...)

In a lot of ways, this site is why mine exists. If you love massive crossover space opera fanfic with swordfights and general feats of asskickery, you'll -adore- this place. I'd like to link directly to the story that got me started, The Quagmire Project. It's a good read, even if it isn't by the main author. Many kudos to you, Ben, and all the others as well. You've inspired a generation.

This game's been around for -years-, and it's still catching hell over stuff that happened waaay back when. The player community is nice, it's very newbie friendly, and on a good night, chat is really active. Drop in to say hi, if nothing else, and tell them Matt sent you.

The grand-daddy of all paranormal and general community sites. Admittedly, a lot of it's bumf, but there's a lot of good content and the community is great, for the most part. Might I humbly recommend the humor section?
